How do you know you don't like it if you won't try it?
I’ve heard a lot of people decrying government funding of NPR and PBS. Amusingly none of these people have never experienced the fantastic content that they make available. Before you jump on the “death to public broadcasting” bandwagon I challenge you to give NPR a fair shot.
At first you’ll probably find the news a little dull without a pundit ranting and stomping about. Give it some honest time. After a week let me know if you don’t find the lack of corporate AND liberal agendas refreshing.
When you are feeling brave go ahead and explore the ground breaking content distribution methods they use on their websites and smartphone apps. While the rest of the news industry struggles to stay relavant in the face of blogs and the internet, NPR is becomingly increasingly popular.
No wonder the for profit news corporation wants to shut it down.
